Lazy Rabbit

Lazy Rabbit
In a sunny meadow lived a rabbit named Remy. Unlike his energetic siblings, Remy found work a four-letter word. He'd much rather spend his days sprawled beneath a dandelion, watching clouds drift by.

One crisp morning, as the other rabbits busily gathered clover, Remy stretched luxuriously.

"Work, work, work," he grumbled.

"Why can't they just leave the clover to grow and come back later?"

Suddenly, a wise old owl hooted from a nearby branch.

"Laziness might feel good now, Remy," he hooted,

"but winter is coming. Without a full burrow, you'll have a cold and hungry season."

Remy scoffed. Winter seemed far away, and besides, there were always leftover carrots from the other rabbits. He drifted back to sleep.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. The other rabbits, their burrows brimming with supplies, began preparing for winter. Remy, confident in his siblings' generosity, continued his lounging.

One crisp morning, Remy awoke to a sight that sent shivers down his fluffy tail. Snow blanketed the meadow, and the once-abundant clover was buried deep beneath. His siblings, snuggled in their warm burrows, peeked out with worried eyes.

"Remy," his brother squeaked,

"we don't have enough to share. You haven't gathered anything!"

Remy's stomach grumbled. He sheepishly admitted his laziness. The winter was long and harsh, with Remy relying heavily on his siblings' kindness. He shivered, both from the cold and regret.

When spring finally arrived, Remy emerged from the burrow, determined to change. He joined his siblings, working hard to gather food and prepare for the next winter. He learned that hard work brought not just comfort, but also a sense of accomplishment.

From that day on, Remy never underestimated the importance of work. He still enjoyed relaxing under the dandelions, but now it was a reward for a job well done. And winter?
